The last year, coming up to 18 months now has been a rather strange and difficult year for most of us as we have all been affected in one way or another by the global pandemic caused by Covid-19. Our lives have been dramatically changed during this time, as we have all had to adapt how to live our lives to combat the spread of the virus, however we have all been impacted in one way or another by this and so we thought we’d investigate how the pandemic has changed our everyday lives.
One area that has been totally transformed due to the pandemic has been that of the entertainment business, which has been totally digitalised which is a trend moving through this list. The global pandemic has forced to use online alternatives for our forms of entertainment, so many of us have been using streaming services such as Netflix to watch their favourite films rather than visit the cinema which have been closed. Furthermore, we have had to entertain ourselves through other avenues rather than socialising with friends and family through the like of gaming and other forms of entertainment. One industry that has certainly been able to benefit from this has been the online gambling world, with these non-UK casinos showcasing a rapid rise in demand for their products and there is no surprise when you look at the quality of game that they have on offer to the consumer.
Another area of life that has totally changed due to the global pandemic has been that of the work lifestyle, in which we have seen many of us have to work from home to combat the spread of the virus. Although this was initially a worry when this was first put into tuition there were many worries that colleagues weren’t going to be as productive when working from home, but since this theory has been proved wrong, as many companies are now explaining flexible working so colleagues can choose exactly where they are working from.
And finally, the last area of everyday life that has been transformed due to the global pandemic has been that of the shopping world. During the height of the pandemic, we were all forced to use online alternatives to do our everyday shopping, and as we have seen the benefits to this, we are now seeing the value of shopping online and so many of us are now using online as our main format of shopping.
